Per-Verse! presents a headline set from Glasgow performance poet Kevin P. Gilday making a return North in 2014. Known for his Quarter-Life Crisis Tour and his new Edinburgh show The Man Who Loved Beer, Kevin's words will have you laughing one minute and gasping the next. Hosted by Richie Brown with local support from John Mackie.

Kevin P. Gilday

Kevin P. Gilday is known for "poetry, rants, spoken words, songs, field recordings and general self aggrandisement". Following a month at the Edinburgh Fringe, Kevin presents his new show, The Man Who Loved Beer, in Aberdeen for the first time. Part spoken word performance, part drunken monologue, The Man Who Loved Beer dissects a life experienced through the haze of casual alcoholism with all the riotous nights out, sexual misadventures and profuse vomiting that entails. Oh and the fear, don't forget the fear.

John Mackie

John Mackie gave Cellar 35 a memorable performance last October. Now the Banff poet returns, fresh from his Witching Hour collaboration with Ross Whyte, with a new set of his atmospheric and occasionally stormy verse.
