A guided walk by composer and writer Petra Vergunst in which she reflects on Bennachie's crofting history in a series of poems that she wrote to accompany her string quartet Whispers in the Woods. Following the walk will be the premiere of this work by the Dee String Quartet.

Petra Vergunst

Petra Vergunst is a freelance community artist, composer, poet and performer working across the North-East of Scotland. Her compositions have been played by the Red Note Ensemble and, as part of Sound 2013, by Richard Craig in Aberdeen Art Gallery. Her poetry has previously been published in Poetry Scotland and Ink, Sweat and Tears.
