Comedy Capers Showcase I

A night of live stand up comedy featuring a handpicked mix of the North-East's finest stand up comedians and character comics

Tuesday 6 May 2008
8.30pm – 11pm

Snafu, [Venue 3]

Admission £5.00 / £4.00

The gifted Montrosian stand up comedian Scott Forbes introduces the Comedy Capers Showcase I, a unique show featuring a handpicked mix of the funniest and most established stand up comedians and character acts in the North-East. Ranging from the political to the particular, from the dark to the clever and from the surreal to the ridiculous each performer will present the best bits from their tried and tested comedy sets. Audiences will delight at the depth and diversity of comedy talent on display that is on a par with anything produced elsewhere in the UK.

See www.comedy-capers.co.uk for listings and biographies of the featured artists.

Scott Forbes

Scott Forbes's exuberance and flowing train-of-thought humour are married with a steady assurance. He has a confident, cheeky presence and performs hilarious impersonations of the people he meets in life. The hippy haired gothic is a native of Montrose, and though he shows no signs of growing a tail, all that inbreeding has made for a natural and flowing sense of humour. In 2004, at only his second gig, Scott reached the semi-final of the Jongleurs Comedy Competition. He has recently returned from a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2006 and a UK tour.

Scott Forbes's rapid-fire natural delivery reminds me of a young Billy Connolly. (Evening Express)
